Alpha Aviation Group, founded by Bhanu Choudhrie in 2006, provides simulator training to new commercial pilots. As leaders in innovation, they developed a digital, simulator-driven approach to training pilots. The aviation industry is reluctant to change. However, the pandemic has forced necessary changes within the industry.
Bhanu Choudhrie founded Alpha Aviation Group to help budget airlines find a low-cost way to train their pilots. Unlike major carriers, budget airlines do not have the resources to create their training programs. Instead, they have to rely on others to train their pilots.
Alpha Aviation Group’s approach to training also improves safety. Traditional training programs start new pilots on small planes. However, they introduce the pilots to the commercial planes they will fly early in their training. As aircraft become more technologically advanced, pilots will already have the training needed to pilot them.
The type of training that Choudhrie’s company implements are long overdue. The aviation industry bases the traditional programs on programs that have been in place since World War II. Despite planes becoming more advanced, training programs are staying the same.
According to Bhanu Choudhrie, training is not the only area that the aviation industry is lagging. The industry has also been slow in changing the regulations which govern them. However, the pandemic caused the industry to make changes rapidly. The decisions to halt flights, mask mandates and other regulations were put into place quickly to keep everyone safe.
The pandemic caused the industry to make changes at lightning speed. Bhanu Choudhrie believes the industry needs to continue to make changes. As for Choudhrie, he too is hoping to make some changes for his company. He wants to bring pilot training to more remote places across the globe. Refer to this page for additional information.
