Born to an entrepreneur father who owned a shop selling watches, pens and Chinese imported goods, Hussain Sajwani was among the first few students sent to the United States by his government to study. He graduated with a degree in Industrial engineering and Economics from Washington University. Hussain Sajwani is the founder of DAMAC Properties. The company has been ranked by Forbes in its Global 2000 company list. The list features the companies considered to be the fastest growing around the world and the ranking is based on annual revenue growth between 2013 and 2016. DAMAC deals in real estate development. Hussain Sujwani is listed among Arabs top 100 billionaires of 2017. Hussain Sujwani has taken part in various CSR activities; this is through the DAMAC Foundation that aims to promote training in software development to over one million Arab youths.




Mr.Hussain Sajwani began his career working in Abu Dhabi Gas industry in its finance department before opening a catering business. The business had catering contracts with Bechtel and the United States military. The catering business is what is nowadays called Global logistics services.

Founded in 2002 by Hussain Sajwani, the company is among the largest Middle East property developers. DAMAC has so far built over 19000 apartments and has another 44,000 units in varying stages of development. The company is publicly listed and trades in Dubai’s financial market. Among its best-known works include a golf course that was designed by renowned golfer Tiger Woods. It also has luxury apartments with interiors done by Versace. Its other luxury villas have been styled by Bugatti. Other works by DAMAC include the Paramount hotels and resorts, in which they have partnered with Paramount Pictures.

The billionaire businessman is linked with President Donald Trump through various properties that they have jointly partnered in. their families are also said to be close. He has denied any possible conflict of interest by the President as he runs his foreign policies in countries where he has business interests. Mr. Hussain Sajwani says that the Trump organization is being handled by people who are not part of the President’s political circle and that he has no interest in engaging in politics. He, however, says he hopes to build deeper ties with the President since both their businesses can benefit from the Trump brand.
