OSI Safety Standards Recognized By Council

What makes a food supply company successful? One of the most important markers is the safety of the product that they are supplying. Recently OSI Group was rewarded the “2016 Globe of Honor” by the British Safety Council. This award speaks volumes about the standards of the leading food supplier OSI Industries. The award is handed out yearly, and is based on a rigorous audit schedule which the British Safety Council conducts at various food supplier facilities.

OSI Group was awarded with the Globe of Honor because of excellently maintained environments of their plants. This quality is arguably the most important feature of a food supplier. Without a clean environment, the food will not be up to safety standards.

The high standards of the company have been recognized by many in the last several years. OSI has been growing because of their reputation as a clean, high quality, safe company with the highest standards about the food that they supply to restaurant chains worldwide. The growth of company in recent years shows that they have been recognized by many to be leaders in the field. They recently purchased a former Tyson Foods plant in Chicago, Baho Food, suppliers, and the Flagship Europe company. OSI is excited by the recent acquisitions, which will help the company grow. They currently have 65 facilities, and these are spread out over the globe in 17 different countries. The addition of Baho Foods was especially meaningful to OSI Industries, because it increased the OSI presence in Europe, which is an important goal that the company holds.

Baho Food was a company that worked with deli meats, snacks, and convenience foods. OSI reported that the Baho Food portfolio worked very well with what OSI offers, and even expands the OSI services slightly. Since OSI was founded over 100 years ago, expansion has been a constant theme. The OSI Group never backs away from growth, and is eager to expand the services that they provide. Baho Food’s leadership teams will remain part of the business, and say that they are excited to now be a part of the larger OSI Industries.
